BICOXY

Some 5000 plant diseases have so far been recorded from india, though all of them do not cause the same degree of damage to crop plants. While no overall estimation of the loss caused by the disease in India has been made, it must be considerable and varying from crop to crop. Smut diseases cause an annual loss worth 3.25 lac tons of grain; whete rust alone causes crop loss worth Rs. 6 crores every year. There is no doubt that for sustainable higher productivity fungal diseases have to be controlled in the most effective and effecient manner on a long term basis.

EFFECTS OF DISEASES

Quite apart from causing considerable and significant losses in crops (minimal 10% per year), the disease debilitate the crop plants thereby affecting their growth and productivity. They also cause physiological stresses in the plants such as upsetting the carbohydrate balance within the plants. Disease affected young plants are often killed straightway, while root rots slowly debilitate the plants evantually causing the death of productive plants in large groups.
Clearly fungal diseases have to be effectively controlled, and in time, to prevent their spread and enabling the plants to remain highly vigorous and productive in terms of yeilds of quality.

HOW TO ACHIEVE THE CONTROL?

Bicoxy based on Copper Oxychloride 50% WP as its active ingredient provides the the most effective, lasting and economic control of the whole range of fungul diseases of crop foliage and roots. Applications of Bicoxy with a high volume sprayer will not only effectively contain the diseases, but most importantly, Bicoxy will keep the plants disease free for a long time. Intensive spraying can also be done by applying this this fungicide at a dilution of 350 gms.of fungicide in 100 litres of water. Success depends on effecient spray applications that should cover the target sites effectively. In general Bicoxy controls major fungal diseases of plantation crops like tea and field crops in general. These include peach blight, leaf curl, shot hole fungus, downy mildew, brown rot, early and late blight of potato, leaf spots of vegetables, blister blight and black rot of tea etc.

WHY BICOXY?

Bicoxy based on Copper Oxychloride 50% WP is specially formulated to immediately inactive the fungal spores and mycelia of the disease causing organisms most optimally within a few hours of its applications. The net effect is that the spread of diseases is almost instantaneously stopped. This apart, the treated plants quickly become vigorous and productive.

Bicoxy can be applied both prophylactically and palliatively. As a surface protectant it provides protection to the treated plants against pathogens for major part of the productive period by directlt acting against disease organisms. Moreover, being broad spectrum in its action, Bicoxy acts against the whole range of fungal diseases simultaneously.

Bicoxy is totally ecofriendly, does not leave any harmful residues in any crop including tea infusions, and most importantly, improves the quality of the crop. The dual function of Bicoxy makes it a unique fungicide that combines both protective and immunization attributes.
